River Walk

Just a few shots from last weekend. The family got out for some R&R and enjoyed a little of the nice weather we've been experiencing here lately. We spent one day checking out an Ozark river that I have yet to fish, but after seeing it in person I fully intend to remedy that situation before the year is over.

No fish pics if that's what you're hoping for unfortunately, other than a few casts after a nice streamside lunch it was a weekend for family time.

  1. Jeff that is one of the most stunning places I have ever seen. How did you not fish it? Even the "beach" looks inviting.

    1. I hear ya Howard, it was a beautiful piece of water. I'm already making plans to hopefully spend a weekend floating it in the near future.

  2. That place is so beautiful! Looks extremely familiar to me...sort of like the place I use to go on my float trips a few years ago. Weird seeing Joe on a leash or maybe I just never noticed he had one before.

    1. It's one of the more famous Ozark rivers so it may be very familiar to you. It was the first national scenic river in this country I believe.
The park ranger was in the area and sometimes in those national parks they don't have any leniency on un-leashed pets...better to be safe than sorry.

    2. Most definitely better to be safe than sorry! Totally understand now. Yeah, it looks exactly like the one I used to float. Don't know if you remember the one I've frequented, but it had a lot more "current" than the others down there. Definitely one of the popular ones.

    1. It would be a great place for that! Water wouldn't be too cold in the Summer for a nice swim. Check out the Buffalo River...it's not a secret by any means.
